These real wedding posts are going to be what breaks me. Having the opportunity to host so many amazing Milwaukee couples… I have…no...words. There are so many talented, kind, creative and wonderful people that come through Denizen’s doors. Getting to relive a year or more of planning through these blogs is everything. Let’s dive into what made Sidney and Dan so special.

Sidney came through my doors in the middle of construction.. I mean.. the patio did not exist. The power was shut off. I don’t even think we had walls yet. I was standing in the dark thinking, “How am I going to explain to this couple how magical Denizen will be once it’s done?” It was instant magic. I couldn’t even tell you what we discussed during the tour. But we hit it off right away. I totally was sold on her wedding. I was in. Sometimes on a tour, something happens and you both just know… this is the one… this is the place.
And look at what this lady did?!? She created a beautiful, color splashed day. The vintage china and glassware from Flavors of Grace Catering really sung in our all white space. Sidney and I met about 4 times throughout the planning process… maybe more. That number seems low? Every time we played with different colors and linen options. We set up flowers. Talked time lines and special touches. She was nervous about how it would all come together. But hear me say this! Lean into it. If you are one of the brave brides going for color - just give in to the dopamine. You like that cat print? Do it. You have always dreamed about an all purple tablescape. I’m in. Let’s meet. Let’s test run some ideas. Let’s get you to your colorful wedded day feeling confident and ready. Cause how cute is this? All of the colors of the rainbow come together perfectly.

Denizen MKE is a boutique event space focused on intimate, intentional events in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are truly a micro event space. While we can seat up to 120 people, the interior is perfect for weddings of 20 to 100.
